I used to know so many different songs on my Classical guitar but when you don't practice they are easy to forget. I usually plug in my electric or acoustic guitar and just jam and improvise for half an hour. Yes it is fun but I never learn a complete song. This has always been my issue. I can play like a madman but I draw blanks when people want to hear a complete song. I learned a hand full of beautiful classical/Spanish type songs many years ago. . . and well. . . until yesterday I looked online for the sheet music and started remembering certain songs. WOW it felt so good. I kept going back to the guitar all day re-learning this one amazing song by Jose' Tarrega called "Capricho Arabe."

I am going to remove my electric guitar and amp from my office and stick to strictly the classical for the next few months. When I get home from work or in the morning, I try to sped 10- mins playing songs so, at least now I can build my repertoire'. I know my family will be glad to hear that.
